How to apply to the AGH University of Science and Technology
AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland offers studies generally in Polish, but also in English - all lectures, seminars and classes are held in English in this case. Advanced command of the English language (better than the First Certificate standard) is one of the substantial requirements for application for studies at the AGH UST - in English as a language of instruction. Warning: It is being assumed that the candidate is able to: understand lectures, read prescribed handbooks, write reports, take active part at tutorials and laboratory exercises. All consequences of not meeting this requirements are assumed to be candidate's fault and may constitute no title for any claims of the candidate towards AGH UST e.g. regarding withdrawal of the tuition and fees. With completed application form, you should attach the following documents:
- completed interview questionnaire,
- copy of identification page in your passport,
- nostrificated original of your secondary school certificate (the procedure's description you could find at http://kuratorium.krakow.pl/index.php?ac=111&id=2210),
- official transcripts;
- degrees/diplomas,
- four recent photographs (passport format, on a bright background),
- medical certificate in English (general health report, X-ray chest picture - medical description only),
- certificate confirming language of instruction during secondary school or studies,
- Curriculum Vitae. All documents should be presented either in English - if issued in this language - or as validated translations of original documents. Copies of original documents must be properly validated in English. Regarding details of application procedure/required documents please contact the Faculty offering profile of studies you're interested in. Secondary School Certificate and the B.Sc./M.Sc. Diploma (if any) must be confirmed by the Polish Embassy/Consulate before providing to the Faculty's Admission Office. Ensure that your personal data is correct in your passport, as this will be the form that will be used in your transcripts and degree certificate. Note: the AGH UST will not process your application if you have not completely filled in this application form and attached all the requested documents. Since the National Health Insurance Act o f February 1997, /Law Gazette No. 28, pos. 153 with further amendments/, does not include foreigners staying in Poland, foreigners visiting or studying at AGH University have to be insured against consequences of accidents and costs of medical treatment.
